The U.S. Embassy has issued a journey warning for Tijuana and Rosarito, Baja California because of a threat of kidnappings, harm, or loss of life.

The July 4th warning states that there’s the potential for confrontations between felony organizations and Mexican safety forces in Baja California, following the July 2 arrest of a distinguished cartel chief.

“U.S. residents ought to anticipate to come across elevated Mexican regulation enforcement presence in these areas. Prison group assassinations and territorial disputes may end up in bystanders being injured or killed,” the journey advisory said.

The Division of State’s Journey Advisory for Baja California has been raised to Stage 3 and U.S. vacationers are being advised to rethink journey because of crime and kidnappings.

Journey warnings by the U.S. for Tijuana are frequent.  In March the state division issued a warning about crime and kidnappings.  It warned that “vacationers ought to stay on foremost highways and keep away from distant areas … of explicit concern is the excessive variety of homicides within the non-tourist areas of Tijuana.”

For individuals who select to disregard the danger and journey any method they advocate:

– Concentrate on your environment.
– Keep a excessive stage of vigilance and preserve a low profile.
– Monitor native media for updates and in case of emergency, name 911.
– Evaluate your private safety plans and observe the directions of native authorities.
